Finance Assistant

The Opportunity

We are looking for a focused and reliable candidate to join our Ukrainian team as a Finance Assistant. You will be responsible for ensuring all our inventory and service invoices are entered on a timely basis, investigating discrepancies and requesting credit memos from suppliers. This is a great chance to be involved in a young fast growing company and become a valuable part of the Accounts Payable and wider Finance team which spans both the Ukraine and the UK. You will be reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager who is in part of the Ukraine team and working closely with the finance team in London.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Review, query and post invoices to MS Dynamic Nav accounting software
  • Query invoice discrepancies with the Inventory Management team
  • Reconcile supplier statement to the AP subledger, investigating discrepancies on a regular basis
  • Manage the paper and electronic filing of all supplier invoices
  • Communicate with suppliers to resolve queries and request credit memos in a polite and positive manner, and regularly reconcile their statements 
  • Carry out month end procedures reporting to the Senior management accountant
  • Agree objectives and improvement targets for yourself and review these regularly
  • Other ad hoc duties


Desired Skills:

  • 1 year of experience in an accountancy role
  • Higher education in the field of accountancy
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent MS Office Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with internal and external parties to resolve queries
  • Planning and time management skills
  • Integrity and discretion
  • Experience of MS Dynamic Nav software would be an advantage
  • Experience with google office suite would be an advantage
  • Reliable, confident and able to work on own initiative and with limited supervision
